So we had a FULL week of Easter Festivities... It started off Thursday at school they had a Easter party, then Saturday we had the annual Easter Egg hunt at Colonial. It is always PACKED & a bit chaotic but the kids had fun so that is all that matters. Saturday night Kayla & I went to church which was funny being she kept calling the Pastor Jesus the whole time (everyone around us thought she was SOOO CUTE) but I was thinking oh goodness we are going to be kicked out of here! Then Sunday we hosted Easter lunch at our house & had lots of yummy food & Masters watching! Over-all we had a WONDERFUL week as a family with lots of going & festivities the whole time. The guys are on the road for another 2 week stretch. First stop Hilton Head then off to New Orleans. Kayla & I stayed back this time; we won't go out again until The Players in which we cant wait to see The Braren's new house! So I know it has been FOREVER..... We have been going, going, going since getting back from Florida. We started our travels in Tampa. Even though the house we stayed in was "interesting" to say the least we had a wonderful visit. Kayla & I started our week going to FINALLY MEET the wonderful Miss Kate & see her fabulous mommy Brooke. We took the kids to the Tampa Zoo & they had a BLAST! Lots of running, playing, snacking & then they finished the day playing in the fountains! We ended up taking J back to the zoo on Saturday since the guys missed the cut & because it WAS THAT GOOD OF A ZOO. (Daddy's always let their little ones do SO MUCH more anyways!) Then Sunday we headed over to Orlando & Kayla made her first trip to Sea World... SHE LOVED IT!!! She actually cried when the dolphin show ended "SO CUTE!" We only stayed a few days in Orlando because (honestly....i get a bit home sick being away for more then two weeks...) but we had so much fun staying at the Foltz'. Jane, K already misses your dancing & Jackson WATCH out in November she is going to be following you & Nick EVERYWHERE!!!!

So LAST NIGHT was a big night for me I GOT TO GO TO THE BRITNEY CONCERT!!!!! So much fun, she looked AMAZING & what's new she puts on a GREAT PERFORMANCE.... (i know she has had a few slip-ups that everyone LOVES to hate on...), but SHE WAS GREAT!!!!

Now back on the road again..... We leave for Houston on Thursday after Kayla gets out of school & can't wait for a GOOD TOURNAMENT OF GOLF... Come on Ryan you are back in TEXAS... "get it done!" :-) (even though we know how much you love Florida) He is due some good Texas play, so we CANT wait!!! (This year as I learned at the Tampa Tourney... K likes to strike up convos with everyone including the blimp... so the blankie comes out ALMOST immediately on those days!!!) MY BEAUTIFUL childhood & GREAT friend Tracy will be in Houston the same time we are. WHICH IS A NEVER, so I can't wait to see her, mommy Eileen, daddy Harry & for them to meet Kayla!!! (Trace now they cant be upset that you got to meet Kayla & they haven't!) :-)

To sum it all up we have a PACKED weekend ahead of us but it is always NICE to get back to Houston. I am going to attach some pictures from our travel & OF COURSE the fun concert!!! I hope everyone is doing AWESOME & has a blessed day!!! xoxoxoxo

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR PRAYERS....

I just wanted to take a second & thank everyone for all of your prayers & well wishes in regards to Kayla. She is now home & out of the hospital... which we are so grateful for. TODDLERS + hospitals, LETS JUST SAY not a good combo. This morning she finally ate a WHOLE bowl of oatmeal which was her first REAL meal since last Thursday night; so YEA hopefully we are on the uppity-up!

For those who don't know what happened Kayla started getting sick last Friday morning & by Saturday was so bad off that we had to take her to the local Cooks hospital & then she was transferred to the big Cooks in downtown Ft. Worth. J took a flight home first thing Sunday AM (we didn't get transferred till 10pm Sat. night...) After lots of pokes, IV's, blood work, x-rays, CT's... turns out she had a VERY BAD case of the rotavirus. On Monday she still wasn't eaten much at all & was drinking a little more then the previous days so they decided to take her IV out & send us home being they thought she would get better quicker at home. The first couple days home she still wouldn't eat much but was drinking a lot MORE. We were thankful for this being we didn't want to go back to Cooks... We were still having the diarrhea/dry-heave episodes but she was DRINKING, so this was a step in the right direction. Then this AM she ate a WHOLE bowl of oatmeal & is asking for more; so YEA our prayers are being answered. She is GETTING HER APPETITE BACK with-out any side effects!!!

It's amazing how GOD gives you the strength during these times being I only slept about 4 hours in 48, I have NO CLUE how I stayed so strong... Watching your little angel get poked, prodded, sent away in an ambulance is so incredibly sad & I hope to never go thru this again. I know some of you have been through this many~many times & to you I have WHOLE NEW RESPECT & gratitude on just how strong you truly are!!!

I also want to THANK DANA for being there for us until J could arrive... man I TRULY WOULD HAVE NO CLUE what I would of done with out her there she was by far the ROCK during all the TOUGH TIMES IN THE BEGINNING. Thank you & I love you.... In closing thank you again to EVERYONE for all of your prayers, well wishes, love, care & dinners during this difficult time. We are forever blessed & grateful to have such amazing friends, family & LOVED ONES who dropped everything to listen to me cry, give me advice & to just Pray for our family! Again THANK YOU & we love you all!

Ok I know it has been forever since I have written a blog... THERE HAS BEEN SO MUCH GOING on... trips, birthdays, daddy being gone, & yet AGAIN ANOTHER SICK BABY..... Our poor Kayla she went 2 years with just a cold here &/or there but nothing big. Then in the last month she has gotten REAL SICK twice. First the croup & now she has an AWFUL STOMACH VIRUS that has been laying her up for 2 days now..... IT HAS BEEN REAL SAD watching her fight this off.... especially when she cant keep a single thing down, is getting dehydrated & A SUPER HIGH FEVER... Hopefully she will get passed it soon & be her little cheerful self! THIS IS MY PRAYER THAT IS!!!!

So we had Kayla's 2nd birthday last week... she had LOTS OF fun. Thank you to all that came; we loved visiting with everyone & letting the little ones play. I think Mason, Kayla & Maris could of danced the night away... (wonder if this is what we have to look forward too :-) They were so cute.... we had to pry them away to get them to bed....

James is home for a week & then we are all on the road again.... We decided to go to Tampa with J since Kayla had spring break. WE ARE SO EXCITED TO FINALLY MEET Miss Kate & see Brooke & Philip.... it has been so long & since the girls are two days apart they should have a BLAST! After Tampa we will go over to Orlando for a few days & see the Foltz' then Kayla & I will be coming home. That is our plan so I am sure I will have tons of pictures & blogging to do during the traveling stretch. Until then I hope everyone is well & I will attach some pictures from Kayla's party on here..... HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

So last Wednesday before I left to go see James we made Valentine's day cookies for Kayla to take to school. (they were having a party on Thursday). Every time I turned my back she was sneaking chips off the cookies.... She had never had them before so she thought she WAS IN HEAVEN!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful & Happy Valentine's Day! THANK YOU TO DANA & RANDY for watching our little princess.... I know she had a BLAST as always over there! I will post Pebble pictures soon! (even though I don't have many it WAS VERY RAINY, WINDY & COLD). Have a wonderful day!

ON THE ROAD AGAIN...

Sooooooo James was home all of last week & now he is already off again this time to Pebble Beach. He will be gone for 2 weeks this stretch. Kayla did MUCH BETTER when he left this time. While he was here we had a full WEEK FILLED with all kinds of stuff! We finally went to the Wine Loft with the Foster's they have been talking about this place for months now & IT WAS ALL THEY TALKED IT UP TO BE. Wednesday nights are free wine tasting.... IT IS SO NEAT; they have a bunch of different vendors (about 15 tastings in all....) & the FOOD IS AMAZING. We got a bunch of different appetizer (even though they are huge) and shared. The baked brie WAS TO DIE FOR! I say it is a place that everyone should check out once!!!

Then Friday night Mason's birthday weekend BEGAN! I CAN NOT BELIEVE our little munchkins are turning two it seems like yesterday they were born. THEY had a very fun & ACTION packed party for him at My Gym & then pizza at the house afterwards. Needless to say the kidos were VERY TIRED James included (he was POOPED)

Then Sunday rolled around & J was off again.... I would like to take a second and say that I love my husband very much! We started a BIBLE/home study this week called Creative Marriage. We have been doing it for five days & the first chapter is called creative FOUNDATION... Can I just say it has really been amazing. We both have learned a lot about one another & how to keep our marriage on a GOD driven PATH! It has been very rewarding the impact it has taken on our happiness, communication & love for one another just taking a few minutes out of our day to pray out loud. For this I am very grateful & blessed to have such a wonderful husband to go down this path together in effort to make our marriage/family stronger then ever!

On that note I am off to Pebble in a few days for some mommy & daddy alone time..... Kayla is going to stay at her NaNa & PaPa's which she is counting down the days till at this very moment!!!
